January view from my window SOOC Sunday |
I love Winter... long evenings by the log burner and snowy days. However, there always comes a point in January when I find myself eagerly awaiting the first signs of Spring. As I'm currently at that stage, and as there aren't m/any signs of Spring around here at the minute I was delighted to see the first bunches of daffodils in my local shop.

DAFFODILS!! I live for the daffodils. When I get in a long and low slump, a friend of mine emails me a giant photograph of a daffodil.
ReplyDeleteI love the view out your window -- that green-looking grass is balm for my no-grass-anywhere spirit. :)
Love the view from you window. I bet the daffodils were grown in a greenhouse. They're lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe blossoms certainly remind me of spring!
ReplyDeleteIt's WAY to early for me to long for spring. January is the coldest month of the year with February a close second. The end of March is when I dare to hope for spring. :)
Your window view is so romantic! Very lovely! And love your daffodil story!
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty shots. Happy SOOC Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love daffodils... so bright and cheerful... Wales looks much like here.
ReplyDeleteEveryone here in the North East of the USA is waiting for these little gems to pop up through the cold ground. They are a sure sign of Spring n warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteWe are deep into winter here in Canada too. Like you, I saw some spring flowers at the local grocery store last week. I would have purchased some but I am allergic. Yours look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh my gush that is what I am thinking last night to see the sign of Spring. Great shot!!

I love daffodils! Fun! They make me think of spring, which feels a long way off. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I long to see those here too!
ReplyDeleteHi Pip, I popped over to your blog after ordering my sock wool and have come back to leave a comment. I love the daffodils - just what we need to cheer us up in this weather. Maybe they were grown in the Scilly Isles - I know their season is much earlier than ours. The sock wool I got from you a couple of weeks ago has been very popular - theo balls are currently being knitted into socks for 'blog friends' and I have just started the third pair as a prize for a giveaway - that pair will be off to Canada! Regards, Anne Donald
ReplyDeleteSo, very VERY pretty!!! They are one of my favorite flowers.

Hope your Monday is treating you well!!!!
I'm a bit tired of winter myself. It's a joy to see these daffodils blooming even if they're in a pot!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you there. The winter blues have set in early this year for me. Those daffodils are very cherry.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. I do like those dafs
